City of Miramar

Miramar, Fl is located in Broward County, and it is spread along the Atlantic Coast, the city is based on a vast metropolitan area which accommodates nearly 6 million residents. Miramar was developed in the 1950s with the intention that it will be an inexpensive oracle to live. Furthermore, it is also close to Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Miramar has distinctive neighborhoods, and it has one of the best recreational areas in Florida. Miramar has a foreign sibling named Belize City in its vicinity. These two cities are rich in culture and have the biggest tourist attraction. Miramar has also been featured on Money Magazine’s list of best places to live and for being an ideal place for growing business and to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.
The founder of the city A.L. Mailman intended to make this city a “Bedroom Community” for the nearby towns that included Miami and Fort Lauderdale. He originally bought the property in 1953 and constructed 56 residences made of concrete and flat roofs. The homes were reasonably priced, and thus they sold out quickly, marking the beginning of Miramar FL.
In terms of economic development and revitalization, Miramar is essentially a City of “Beauty and Progress.” Since most of the pollution is based on working-class and technical persons, the community is well-educated and diversity. There is a large community garden called Miramar Community Garden (MCG) that runs via volunteering, the garden is 7,400 square feet. Want free veggie? just become a member of the award-winning “micro-urban farm”.
Let’s talk about food, the love for Italian food is written all over the city. The famous food chain Antonio’s Pizzeria, La Famiglia Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, besides amazing Italian food, the foodies can enjoy a variety of Jamaican, Spanish and other exotic cuisine in Miramar, some of my favorite Coconutz Fusion Café, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery, Barbican Square Jamaican Restaurant, Food Dude Fresh Jerk Grill, El Pimiento, you also have a variety of juices bars around the city and even a few vegetarian restaurants such as Vegetarian Delight Juice Bar .
As mentioned earlier, Miramar is big on culture. You can visit Miramar Cultural Center Artspark famous for its 800-seat theater and galleries. Apart from that, the center has a botanical garden and even a banquet hall for events. Miramar is also renowned for its local legend about Snake Warrior’s Island Natural Area and being haunted. Native American chose to avoid this area in the 1800s.
Furthermore, the city even has a museum for its young generation. Young Art Museum is ideal for the kids, the displays boost children to think, play, and learn all at the same time. So, it’s a one-stop-shop for culture.
Art is visible throughout Miramar. There are three pieces of arts scattered throughout the city. These pieces are called “Art in Public Places”. They demonstrate to out-of-towner the artist’s view of the city. So, if you are wondering what to do this weekend with kids visit Miramar, FL and take them horseback riding at Bar-B-Ranch. The Stables offers a variety of directed trail rides, you can also take them on a scavenger hunt thought-out the city looking for those 3-amazing pieces of art or maybe the museum.
